Show support for Specialist Dementia Centre

27th August 2014

Revised plans to convert the former Green Acres hotel into a specialist dementia care home are ready to be submitted to the States Environment Department, together with a 6,200 signature petition supporting the application.

The original application was rejected on the basis of legislation and planning policy, but the Environment Department indicated that public opinion could help shape policies.

Sarah Griffith MBE launched the petition and will hand the signatures and the revised plans to the Minister of the States Environment Department, Deputy Yvonne Burford, at Frossard House at 3.45pm on Friday 5th September, and it is hoped many others will also attend to show their support. “It’s everyone’s turn to show in person how much they care,” says Sarah.
