Matt and Heather Have Gone All Electric with the BMW i3

2nd October 2018

Matt and Heather are starting a new club, a rather smart (smug) club of BMW i3 drivers. “Guernsey is the ideal place to own an electric car with short distance driving and electric charging points popping up now in many car parks around the island and at home it simply plugs in to a standard wall socket.”

Top Gear explained the nitty gritty as “A synchronous electric motor with a single gear drawing from a lithium-ion high-voltage battery with a capacity of 94Ah (33kWh). That means 170hp and peak torque of 184lb ft, 0-62mph in 7.3 and a top speed of 93mph.”

With the high mileage that goes with the job the benefits to the environment are significant and the savings add up too!
