Cash cow - Patsy raises £450 for GALP

2nd October 2012

Everyone at Cooper Brouard is extremely proud of Patsy, our sponsored cow in this year’s Cow Parade in aid of The Guernsey Adult Literacy Project.

As one of the 52 decorated fibreglass cows on display around Guernsey, Patsy was a favourite with local schoolchildren and adults alike, grazing serenely on the St Martin’s Parish Hall lawn.

On 8th August, the Guernsey Press and BBC Channel Islands sadly reported that Patsy had been severely vandalised. But Patsy is a brave old girl and

recovered in good time for last weekend’s auction following open fibre surgery by Mark Cook, a model maker at the art department of the College of Further Education,

Beautifully painted by artist Melissa Ay, Patsy raised an astounding £450 towards the £45,000 plus raised for The Guernsey Adult Literacy Project. Best of all, we know that Patsy has gone to a good home.
